Peter's Folly

Par 3, Yards 173, Stroke 15

When Peter Allis played this hole in an exhibition match between himself and Dave Thomas against Neil Coles and club professional Mike Notley, he missed the green with a wayward tee shot, hence its name. The hole was designed by Fred Hawtree who was commissioned by the club to design a new hole when the M5 motorway was built and the old Archway entrance lost. The new access road meant that the then 10th hole became unviable and the last major change to the gofl course a necessity.
