Speedgolf!

What is Speedgolf?

Speedgolf is the faster, more athletic version of golf, where you can play a full 18 holes in under 80 minutes, or 9 holes in under 40 minutes by jogging between shots. The challenge is balancing your running pace with your ability to quickly and accurately play your shots to get the lowest score possible. You don’t have to RUN!

No stopping Sandwell Park Ladies this year, another great win when the 25-36 team played at Little Aston and won the Interclub final 3-2.

Ladies Section WIN !!

The ladies County Vets Championship held at Ingestre resulted in our very own Ruth Hickman returning the best nett score.
Ruth has enjoyed lots of great golf this season starting with a handicap of 23 which is now cut to 15.

Sandwell Park Golf Club was also represented by Gail Duffield who returned the best score in the Silver division, who has also had a great season reducing her handicap to 15.

Well done ladies,great ambassadors for our ladies section.

Club Golf Day and Curry Night Great Success

Club Day and Curry Night produced a £250 winner for the Members draw as the member was present

The day itself was a great success with over 50 visitors and enquires for new membership.

The winners of the 9 hole stableford competition were;

1st Place - Chris Hall with 23 points, Handicap 19

Course Maintenance

Course maintenance will take place on week commencing Monday 18th September 2017.

The plan is as follows;

  • Monday 18th - Core Front 9.
  • Tuesday 19th - Core Back 9
  • Wednesday and Thursday - Top Dress Greens (approximately 40 tonne)

The week following maintenance we aim to seed the greens with Bent grass but this can be done during regular play.
